Robidoux Rendezvous began in 2016 as a way to showcase the unsung gravel terrain that flows through the Wildcat Hills of Scotts Bluff County. Shortly after the formation of the Western Nebraska Bicycle Club, the crew began work on a local gravel event. The idea to raise awareness of the cycling opportunities in the area was at the forefront and the Robidoux Rendezvous was born in the heart of Oregon Trail Country.

Courses are all designed to showcase the great cycling terrain and undeniable history available at one of the most famous points along the Oregon Trail.

The Monument Marathon is downhill point-to-point course with approximately 20% on dirt roads. The moderately high elevation (3900-4600 feet) may affect some runners not acclimated to elevation as will the unpaved portions of the course. After the halfway point, the course rises through Mitchell Pass and around Scotts Bluff National Monument. The remainder of the course is mostly flat with a few rolling hills. The race finishes through town. The course starts at 4,600 feet and finishes at 4.000 feet.
